About Ray

Ray Lofgren has been a fishing enthusiast for 46 years of his life, starting in Prince Rupert fishing with a stick and a string in the creek behind his parents house.

At the age of 7 the family moved to Vancouver Island where Ray continued honing his skills fishing for steelhead, salmon and trout. He started taking an interest in fly fishing and fly tying at the age of 9 and has continued his love for the sport into his fifties. In 1982 Ray moved to Kamloops for work, and with the local lakes teeming with trout it was a match made in heaven. Ray has been enthusiastically fishing the local area lakes for 27 years and has made it a point to get to know them very well.

Ray has a wealth of knowledge about the fish, their environment and how to catch them. He is eager to pass his knowledge on.

Ray guided at Roche Lake in the 1990’s but moved on to begin a construction company which he is still working at but felt a need to return to what he loves the most. Trips to other local Kamloops and Merritt area lakes are also available on your request.
